​About the event:

​It's time to put London's GenAI devs on the map.
24 hours. Overnight. Let's build 🫑.

We'll provide the food and drink, you form the teams and build.

Prizes:
1. Best Application - Β£500
2. Runner up Best Application - Β£200
3. Most unorthodox use of foundation models - Β£50

Judging criteria:

  • ​Technical Complexity and Ingenuity - i.e. "how impressive is the technical work here?"

  • ​Strength of Use Case - i.e. "does this have the potential to be used by people/companies/organisations in the real world?"

  • ​Impact to Society - i.e "do we feel this will benefit rather than harm society?"

​Saturday 6:00pm-6:30pm: Registration
Saturday 6:30pm-7:00pm: Intro from Organizers
Saturday 7:00pm-8:00pm: Team Forming + Food + Drinks
Saturday 8:00pm-Sunday 4:30pm: Build, snacks, build, snacks!
Sunday 4:30pm: !*Submission Deadline*!
Sunday 5:00pm-6:00pm Demo + Pitch + Prizes

​Rules

​Make sure to read these carefully so that you qualify for the cash prize!

  1. ​You must sign in at Newspeak House on Saturday night to be considered entered into the Hackathon

  2. ​You must submit an entry by 4:30pm Sunday to be considered for prizes

  3. ​You can come and go in-person or build virtually within the build window

  4. ​You can be a team of 1, but no more than 3

  5. ​What you build must make significant use of some form of Foundation Model

​Already famous in the community for their Prompt Jam events, Newspeak House is an independent residential college founded to study, nurture and inspire emerging communities of practice across civil society and the public sector in the UK.

​They're now taking applications for their Residency - a programme designed to support mid-career technologists gain an understanding of the UK's civic landscape, in order to found groundbreaking new projects or seek strategic positions in key institutions!
