The Art of Community Gathering: A Salon at Fabrik
In a world that often feels fragmented, the idea of community calls to us — yet the ways we gather and connect look vastly different than they did in generations past.
Are the organized spaces we create for connection enough, or do we need to cultivate more organic forms of community?
At this salon, we’ll dive into some insightful (and maybe challenging) questions like:
How do organized gatherings, like coworking spaces or hobby groups, compare to the natural bonds we form through everyday interactions?
Is one type of community more fulfilling or “real” than the other, or do they serve different purposes in our lives?
How do we balance our personal needs with the needs of the collective?
How can we bring more intentionality and joy into our communities, and where do we start?
Join us for a lively and open conversation about the dynamics of community in today’s world.
Drinks and snacks provided! We’ll be in Tribeca.
Attendance Policy: Please only RSVP if you can make it! If you cancel within 48 hours of an event, you cannot attend the next two salons. Salons run on audience participation, so please help maintain the experience by keeping your commitment :)
PS. Know someone who might connect with this topic? Feel free to invite them — just ask them to RSVP separately!
PPS. If $15 is a financial burden, just let me know! We can work something out!
This Salon is sponsored by Fabrik! Fabrik is a home for communities where everyone has a place to belong.
