Toronto's 12,000 Year History — Accessible Tour

​This tour presents a history of Toronto from the end of the last ice age and the arrival of Indigenous people nearly 12,000 years ago to the present day. We will walk through ravines, see a buried rivers, and see evidence of Toronto's ancient shoreline. You won't be able to see the city the same way ever again.

​The route will be fully accessible, the paths will be paved, and the pace will be more moderate than my typical tours

​Duration: 2hrs. We will take a 15 minute break in the middle at to use the restroom and buy snacks.

Location: The tour begins at the sculpture of Drs James Till and Ernest McCulloch, a couple minutes from Queen's Park station. It concludes at Dupont subway station. Both stations are accessible and have elevators between platform and concourse level.

Price: This tour operates on a pay-what-you-can basis. There is no up-front cost or booking fee. At the end of the tour, you can pay whatever you feel the tour was worth (cash or card both accepted). Most guests choose to pay between $25 - $40 per person.

​Accessibility: This tour takes place on paved roads and sidewalks and does not involve any stairs. It is therefore accessible for most types of mobility devices, wheelchairs, etc. Please indicate on your registration form if you have specific questions or access needs.
