About Event

The European Energy Research Alliance (EERA) is glad to announce the continuation of the EERA National Days series, with the EERA Day in Spain set to take place on 30 October in Madrid, organised in collaboration with CIEMAT and TECNALIA.

Today, EERA brings together over 250 organisations from 30 countries, coordinating its activities through 18 Joint Programmes, offering world-leading scientific expertise in three main areas: low-carbon technologies, materials, and systems.

These 18 programmes are aligned with the Strategic Energy Technology Plan (SET Plan), which implies a harmonisation of the strategic objectives of both initiatives with the European Green Deal and the related Industrial Plan, particularly the Net-Zero Industry Act and the REPowerEU plan.

Spain actively participates in 17 of the 18 Joint Programmes, represented by over 30 organisations, including universities and public and private research and development (R&D) centres.

This event is organised to:

  • Highlight and disseminate Spanish participation in EERA (European Energy Research Alliance) and analyse the added value of this participation in different thematic areas.

  • Identify and establish coordination mechanisms among the different working groups of EERA, seeking synergies and more cross-cutting actions.

  • Encourage the addition of new partners and involve Spanish technological platforms to access the industrial and business sectors.

The event will be followed by a networking lunch.

Please kindly note that entering CIEMAT requires an ID-checking process to deliver a badge. In order to avoid delays on the day, we highly recommend that all participants arrive in sufficient time to complete this security check.
