After Hours AMA: From Idea to Exit
BDC Seed Venture Fund and MT> Ventures presents - After Hours AMA featuring Derek Hopfner
Join us as we host Derek Hopfner, co-founder of Nook and previously CRO at Ownr, for an open discussion about his serial entrepreneurial journey, from idea to exit.
Derek is the co-founder of Nook (nookmoney.com), a financial technology company helping households keep more of their money.
Previously, Derek co-founded Founded, a legal technology platform that automated incorporation and legal workflows for small businesses and startups. In 2020, Founded was acquired by RBCx and later integrated into Ownr. At Ownr, Derek served as Chief Revenue Officer, helping it grow to become Canada’s leading entrepreneurship platform.
Earlier in his career, Derek practiced business law for over seven years, advising startups and established companies on corporate and commercial matters.
This event is hosted in collaboration with the BDC Seed Venture Fund and MT> Ventures. For every event, we hand pick a founder to engage in an open discussion (Ask Me Anything style) with respect to their founder journey, including their successes, challenges, and failure.
Note: This is an exclusive event with limited capacity - registration must be approved to join.
