Airways ahead: breathing new life into policy for lung health
Lung disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide[i], yet it often lacks the attention it deserves in global health priorities. This year’s draft World Health Assembly Resolution on Lung Health offers an invaluable opportunity to push for action and accountability across lung health, including lung diseases and lung cancer. Join our panel of experts as they focus in on those lung diseases that are often underrecognized, discussing the challenges and opportunities for policy and action, ranging from tackling air pollution to improving care for people living with inflammatory lung disease.
Join this session to learn more about:
The current landscape for lung health, including the burden of specific inflammatory lung diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis, and the need for action on air pollution
Policy gaps, opportunities, and areas for cross-stakeholder action on lung health, ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health in September
