2024 Technology & Asset Management Fellow Research Competition
The Technology and Asset Management Fellowship (TAM) is a young adult fellowship and up to $5,000 prize competition. Designed as a career exploration opportunity for participants, our mission is to build a more robust pipeline of tech and asset management experts with an emphasis on emerging markets.
Generously supported by a grant from the James Irvine Foundation in partnership with Blended Impact and The Good Rural, TAM offers this leadership and talent development initiative to explore careers in venture capital, investment banking, private equity, and entrepreneurship to current undergraduate and graduate students across California, along with competitive non-student applicants aged 16-24 (aka Opportunity Youth).
Beginning in March 2024, 24 Fellows were accepted from across the state of California, and 16 met the attendance and engagement requirements to advance to the competition stage. Nine fellows selected to compete, with six in the Founding Track and three in the Investment Track.
Fellows will have one month of self-directed research and one month of assisted research to prepare a 2-page research paper and 2-4 minute summary presentation for the June 26th competition. Fellows in the Founding Track will present on a business concept, and Fellows in the Investment Track will present on a business Investment Brief. Prize awards are as follows:
$1,500 Best Research Report
$1,500 Best Verbal Presentation
$1,500 Best Outreach
$500 Audience Favorite
Friends and family are welcome to join, support, and VOTE for fellows!
