Dr. Prafull Sharma is a seasoned technology, product, and strategy executive with over 19 years of experience in the fields of Industrial IoT, predictive analytics, and sensing technologies. He specialises in driving innovation and commercial adoption of cutting-edge products, from early-stage concepts to global solutions. As the Co-Founder and CTO of CorrosionRADAR, Dr. Sharma is at the forefront of developing Industry 4.0 solutions for corrosion management through predictive analytics and distributed sensing. He is the inventor of the Electro-Magnetic Guided Radar (EMGR) technology, a key component of CorrosionRADAR's products.
His career spans a diverse range of roles, from leading R&D teams at GE to working as a visiting lecturer at Cranfield University, where he focused on automation and Industry 4.0. Dr. Sharma is passionate about creating value propositions and product-market fit, whether in large corporations or startups. He has contributed to numerous innovations, holding 15 patents and publishing peer-reviewed work.
Additionally, he serves as Chairman of ICorr Midlands, shaping the strategy and direction of the Institute of Corrosion. He also holds certifications in Six Sigma, TRIZ inventive methods, and intellectual property management for technologists.
