About the Speakers
Shani Zanescu – Founder & General Partner of Universe Partners. A deep tech investor with $100M+ AUM and experience in both single-family offices and VC, Shani has backed early-stage startups and funds, launched ventures and non-profits, and built innovation ecosystems. Before venture, she spent a decade in foreign policy and diplomacy
Laura Segafredo – Former Global Head of Sustainable Research, ETF, and Index Investments at BlackRock. Laura is a senior economist and sustainable finance pioneer who led the expansion of the sustainable ETF and Index Mutual Funds platform from ~$110B to ~$500B in 4 years.
Daniel Baruch - Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, where he leads Resilience and Adaptation Investments. With extensive experience across energy markets, investments, innovation, and climate strategy, he has worked at the intersection of physical and financial energy commodities. His background includes roles in natural gas and power at Morgan Stanley, multi-asset alternative investments at AllianceBernstein, and serving as VP of Climate Strategy at Moody’s, among others.
