Lectures on Tap #1: Reasoning in Minds and Machines
Lectures on Tap – a new speaker series where experts break down niche topics in an unconventional setting.
First up: Linas Nasvytis
PhD student at Stanford, researching how humans and AI systems learn, reason, and solve problems. He’s studied at Oxford, Harvard, and Columbia, and worked with Nobel Prize winner Paul Romer.
During this session, you’ll learn:
🟣 How humans think and reason
🟣 Whether AI can reason like us
🟣 What it means to “think” in 1s and 0s
🟣 Where human vs machine thinking overlaps (and where it doesn’t)
