About the Event

Join us on March 19th, 2024, for an evening with Christian Keil, Chief of Staff at Astranis. Christian will share advice on how to start a deep tech company without being a billionare.

Whether you are a budding entrepreneur, engineer, AI enthusiast, or curious student, this evening promises to be an entertaining masterclass that will accelerate your personal + professional growth, and show you how to have as much fun as possible along the way. We look forward to seeing you in Berkeley!

About Christian Keil

Christian loves writing, building, and turning 0s into 1s. Keil joined Astranis early and helped the company scale to over 300 employees, a $1.4 billion valuation, and over a dozen satellite programs to provide internet for people all over the world. When not working or writing, he’s an obsessive hobbyist. Aside from tracking every book he’s read since 2014 (see pronouncedkyle.com), Christian recently ran a half-Ironman race, and is an avid Magic: the Gathering player whose wife wishes he would stop buying new Commander decks.

About The House Fund

The House Fund is a pre-seed and seed stage venture capital fund, and the first fund fully focused on the UC Berkeley community.

Since inception in early 2016, The House Fund has invested in 100+ startups, including 9 startups (and counting) achieving Unicorn status and 15+ exits (to Apple, Google, Facebook, Tesla, Airbnb). Over 100 VC firms have follow-on invested in our startups including Accel, A16Z, Benchmark, & Founders Fund.

About Astranis

Astranis is building small, low-cost telecommunications satellites to connect the four billion people on Earth who currently do not have access to the internet. By owning and operating its satellites and offering them to customers as a turnkey solution, Astranis is able to provide bandwidth-as-a-service at a fraction of the cost of legacy providers, unlocking previously unreachable markets.
