About Event

Why are video games more important today than ever? How can video games stimulate learning, creativity, community, and engagement? Dive into the Unity game engine and create simple code in C#. You’ll walk away with a minigame in progress, an understanding of basic game principles, and the resources to turn your game vision into reality.

Things You'll Learn

  • Navigating Unity: We'll explore the most popular engine for building cross-platform games.

  • C# Scripting: We'll explore the code behind game mechanics.

  • Design Principles: We'll look into what makes a cohesive brand, game, and play experience that will leave users with distinct emotion. We'll also identify tools and resources to design and create from scratch.

Prereqs: Intermediate knowledge of any programming language. Coming to the course with Unity downloaded and installed (pick a long term support / LTS release) will help speed up the process.
