HOW IT WORKS
There's no item-for-item trading or bargaining - just bring your premium pieces, drop them off, and take whatever catches your eye. We will have some men's stylists on hand to help you find pieces that work for you.
BRING:
Up to 10 pieces of premium clothing in excellent condition
Name brand or designer items only (J.Crew, Levi's, Nike, etc.)
Nearly-new or gently worn pieces that look fresh
Jackets, shirts, pants, shoes, hats, accessories
That high-end shirt you bought but rarely wore
Those designer pants that don't quite fit right

DON'T BRING:
Undergarments of any sort or socks (seriously, don't)
Anything stained, ripped, or damaged

WHAT'S A CLOTHING SWAP? A gathering where gentlemen bring clothes they don't wear anymore and swap them for other clothes. It's sustainable, saves money, and fights against wasteful fast fashion.
HOW DOES THE SWAP WORK? When you arrive, you'll lay your clothes out on tables or designated areas. Then you're free to browse what everyone else brought and take whatever you want. No one-for-one trades, no keeping score - just take what you'll actually wear.
WHAT TYPE OF CLOTHING WILL BE THERE? Quality brands only! Expect J.Crew, Bonobos, Levi's, Nike, Patagonia, Ralph Lauren, and other reputable labels. Previous elevated swaps have featured vintage leather jackets, barely-worn designer pieces (some with tags still on), premium denim, and high-end outerwear. All sizes welcome.
IS THE CLOTHING ORGANIZED? Yes! We've upgraded our approach - items will be organized by category (outerwear, shirts, pants, etc.) and our on-site stylists will help curate sections based on seasonal trends and style profiles. Still plenty of treasure hunting, but with expert guidance.
DO I NEED TO BRING HANGERS? We'll have tables for displaying clothes and some hangers available, but no need to bring your own.
WHAT HAPPENS TO LEFTOVER ITEMS? All unclaimed clothing goes to [local mutual aid organization] to support our NYC community OR you can take your sad clothes back to the dusty closet.
WHAT IF I DON'T BRING MORE THAN 5 PREMIUM CLOTHING ITEMS? CAN I STILL PURCHASE A SWAP TIX? Yes, but the clothing better be good. Quality over quantity is our motto, so if you're bringing fewer items, make sure they're exceptional pieces in excellent condition.
