Volunteering Untapped NYC: Nasty New Yorkers (September Event)
Volunteering Untapped NYC is on a mission to build community through volunteering. We host events every month on the second Saturday and partner with local organizations around the city.
This month, we are partnering with Nasty New Yorkers to clean up trash in the lower east side neighborhood. Meeting location is Pier 35 and ending location will be closer to Pier 17.
Afterwards, we’ll head over to Jeremy's Ale House to socialize over food and drinks!
Reminders:
Wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get messy
Wearing/bringing sunscreen is encouraged
Please bring your own filled water bottle
We will be walking around the streets and ending at a different location than where we starts, so please only bring what you can carry
More about Nasty New Yorkers:
Nasty New Yorkers is a collective that organizes community cleanups throughout the city with a focus on getting community members involved and highlighting neglected neighborhoods.
Socials
Volunteering Untapped socials are an optional way to further socialize with other volunteers; we encourage everyone to come out to the social! Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the restaurant, Jeremy's Ale House.
