Silent Book Club

​Silent Book Club ® is a global community of readers, with more than 1,000 chapters in 50 countries around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather in public at bars, cafes, bookstores, libraries, and online to read together in quiet camaraderie. This time also in Humlegården.

​​​​​​At SBC, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. Our events are free and support local businesses. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order food or drinks (or bring a picnic), share what they're reading, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize—or not!

​​​​​This is what our SBC meet-up will look like:

• ​​​​​​14:00-14:30 - People arrive, find a spot in the park, share what they're reading, grab their snacks

• ​​​​​14:30-15:30 - Quiet reading hour

• ​​​​​​15:30-17:00 - Optional socializing, or just keep reading

​​​​​The meet-up point is Kål- och humleträdgård near the National Library in Humlegården - "Kål- och humleträdgård" will come up as an option on Google Maps.

​⚠️ Even though we don’t have limited capacity or space this time, we kindly ask you to register if you plan to join, and unregister if you can't make it. This will help us prepare accordingly. Thank you!

​🌧️ If we see that the weather won’t be good for outside reading, we will have to reschedule - or find an alternative venue. Keep an eye on Luma!
