Vote on Campus with FREE Ice-Cream @ The University of Waterloo, Student Life Center
Join our meet-up in the SLC Multi-Purpose Room for a fun, sweet, and non-partisan hang-out!
We’ll head to the polls together and enjoy free ice cream bars and Four All Ice Cream (while supplies last) to celebrate exercising our civic duty.
In the last federal election, youth (age 18 – 24) had the lowest turnout of any age group, with only 47% of us voting. Low voter turnout decreases the legitimacy of our governments and allows them to be less responsive to our needs and priorities.
As Millennials and Gen Z make up the largest voting bloc in Canada, youth have the power to tip the election—we just need to show up.
Schedule:
5:00 - 5:30 PM: Meet at SLC Great Hall (and enjoy free ice-cream and tarot card readings!)
5:30 - 6:00 PM: Walk to SLC MPR to cast your vote.
