Colorado Springs and its innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem has been growing at a rapid rate the past few years. Join us as we explore the reasons for this growth and what comes next!

Hear from the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization (EPIIC) at UCCS and many of the community partners who have been vital to this continued expansion.

What is EPIIC?

The El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization (EPIIC) assists creative individuals and organizations in transforming innovative ideas into economic opportunity. This is spear headed by our two EPIIC endowed professors.

Dr. Larry Plummer is the new EPIIC Chair of Business and Entrepreneurship and is a leading expert on regional entrepreneurial dynamics, the role of entrepreneurship in local economic development, and the importance and function of various startup initiatives. This research played a pivotal role in bringing Dr. Plummer on board.

Dr. Terry Boult is the EPIIC Chair of Innovation and Cybersecurity. He has been hard at work pushing the boundaries on the role of innovation in education. Simultaneously he continues to make waves in the fields of Computer Vision, Blockchain, and Cyber Security.

Join us for an EPIIC Night focusing on the research and visions of these two powerhouse researchers and the impact our startup ecosystem has had on the community!
