Meditation for Everyday Life
This week's topic: Discomfort. It shows up in all kinds of ways in our life- from the minor inconveniences of getting sick to the overwhelm of having conflict with someone you love.
How do we learn to observe and open to discomfort so that instead of leading us down a path of avoidance or anxiousness, it can be a path to more self-understanding?
What to bring: Yourself :)
This is a weekly, on-going meditation series led by Sana Karimi. It will typically include a simple 15-20-minute meditation, followed by a brief discussion or journaling activity about how we can take the practice into our every day lives. We will cover topics such as self-criticism, comparison, and acceptance. If this doesn't help us in the real and often messy parts of our lives, then what's the point?
I'm not here to give you another self-improvement strategy, but hope to guide you towards more understanding and compassion, for yourself and for others.
No "quiet" mind or prior meditation experience is necessary.
