Physics of Consciousness
An exploration of the fundamental physics of consciousness and theories of conscious experience.
Consciousness is, without doubt, the most mysterious phenomenon in the universe and the most important to understand. Theoretical physics, frontier biology, and ancient spiritual philosophers across thousands of years have struggled with the nature of mind and its interactions with reality.
Come and join us for presentations from leaders in the field to understand the science of philosophy of the rich world within.
Speakers:
James Tagg CEO and founder of Valis will describe efforts to build a large bio-computer called The Large Brain Model that may shed light on the question of quantum computation in the brain.
Stuart Hameroff anesthesiologist and professor at the University of Arizona and one of the originators of the Penrose-Hameroff theory of Orchestrated Objective Reduction. Stuart is also the main organizer of the Towards a Science of Consciousness conference.
Andrew Cote engineering physicist and founder of Hyperstition Incorporated, will be talking about how to use the edge-cases of human experience along with frontiers of theoretical physics to propose a novel explanation for visualization and visual memory.
Rajnish Khanna, M.Sc. Ph.D., is a Senior Investigator, Biosphere Science and Engineering at Carnegie Science, Stanford. Rajnish is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of i-Cultiver, Inc. Rajnish applies photobiology to explore the science of consciousness. He has developed a unique and testable “Theory of Spatial Relativity” relating to the origins of consciousness, which aligns modern science with ancient concepts. Rajnish is the host of TerreScience podcast. For a full bio, visit www.rajnishkhanna.com.
