Special guest: Carolina da Costa
Carolina has more than 20 years of experience in designing and implementing high-impact and problem-solving projects in education, healthcare, and asset management. In education, Carolina was VP of Insper for all undergraduate programs, also led the Entrepreneurship Center and the implementation of the new Engineering Program as well as Paulo Cunha Innovation Hub to support companies’ innovation projects. In the healthcare sector, she was Chief of Innovation, Research, and Education at German Hospital Oswaldo Cruz with a restructuring assignment she led for almost 2 years (2022-23) after being an independent board member of the same institution (from 2020-22). In the asset management sector, she has been a deal originator, fundraiser, and advisor for regenerative-agriculture financing based on blended finance at Maua Capital (now Jive Maua). She was one of the only two selected climate-finance solution in Brazil for the very competitive Climate Policy Initiative Lab 2021. She was also the recipient of (National Association of Executives) ANEFAC’s 2021 prize “Innovation in Sustainability”. Independent board member (leader) of the ESG Committee of Grupo Boticário and LATAM Board member of Solidaridad Network (a Dutch global organization focused on small growers and sustainable agribusiness). Lecturer of critical thinking and systems thinking at Insper. Ph.D in Education and Cognition from Rutgers University, B.A. in Public Administration (EAESP-FGV) and Master in Business and Operations (EAESP-FGV and University of Texas at Austin).

Eduardo holds a master's in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He graduated from the Venture Capital & Private Equity Executive program at Columbia Business School and FinTech Technologies Executive Education from Harvard. As a CEO of Market 8, Eduardo has had a strong trajectory as a successful entrepreneur and angel investor at dozens of SaaS (Software as a Service) firms in Silicon Valley and other major tech hubs in the United States and Europe for over ten years. He is the founder and General Partner of Blue Dot Project, a firm dedicated to creating funds to invest in large-scale planetary regeneration. Eduardo is also the founder and CEO of Blue Dot Capitals, a capital formation firm launching a $30 million private debt offering for accredited investors, leveraging the power of algorithmic high-frequency trading in the New York Stock Exchange and other high-performance trading strategies to create returns for investors and seed funds to develop regenerative communities in key bioregions around the globe. He is a Member of the Board of Directors at Recommon.land, a firm shaping new rules around land ownership and governance structures that protect the sovereignty of the bioregional regenerative communities of the future. He is part of the Leadership Council of the Design School for Regenerating Earth. Eduardo is a keynote speaker and moderator at events such as the American Renewable Energy Institute (AREDAY) and the Family Office Investors Summit at the World Economic Forum at Davos. He is a Black Card member with Fund Launch, a Fund accelerator with hundreds of funds launched and billions under management. Eduardo is a critical piece in mobilizing capital from the extractive economy into the regenerative economies of the future.
