Platform Engineering Workshop

​Internal Developer Platforms using a Platform Orchestrator allow to drive an unparalleled degree of standardization, paired with a consistent developer experience. Using a reference architecture for modern Internal Developer Platforms developed by McKinsey’s platform teams, we will set up a version 1 of a Kambi platform together. We will learn the integration points and customization options and experience the developer experience. In the end you will have a complete overview of the day-to-day life as a platform team member, using the orchestrator to provide critical capabilities to your platform while standardizing by design and keeping a great security and compliance posture.

• ​Gain a deep understanding of Humanitec’s reference architecture, including Backstage

• ​Learn how to use drivers to create cloud-specific infrastructure

• ​Learn how to use the different modes of operation with Terraform
  (and touch on Crossplane)

  • ​Create infrastructure using the Terraform driver

  • ​Wire infrastructure using the Terraform provider

• ​Understand multi-cluster use-cases

• ​Deploy a demo application

• ​Understand Dynamic Config Management in light of ephemeral environments
