There will be a panel of successful indie studio founders who have gone through every phase of development, from early concepting and fundraising to designing gameplay and working with publishers. Hear about the common pitfalls of developing games as a small team and strategies to overcome them.
Panel: Real Talk on Shipping Indie Games
Joe Mirabello is the founder and creative director of Terrible Posture Games. They've released seven titles over the last 12 years, including the roguelike Tower of Guns, and built games with brands like The Walking Dead.
Nate Chatellier is the founder and CEO of Nerd Ninjas, a small studio that has developed original titles like Rogue Piñatas and collaborated with publishers like Niantic. He's also behind the board game Dice Throne, which raised over $11 million on Kickstarter.
Maitham Mohamed is the founder and CEO of M10, a studio and publisher focused on creating the next gen of multiplayer games with player-driven, open-economy models. He’s raised over $3 million in funding to date.
The venue is a 10 min walk from GDC’s Moscone Center. Food and drink will be provided. Space is limited - come early!
