About Our Artists

Filo Girl by Bailey Ambrose
Bailey is a Seattle artist who specializes in mechatronic and robotic art. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Digital Arts & Experimental Media. Find Bailey on Instagram.
FILO Girl is a modern-day automaton. This writing robot is inspired by the Lofi Girl Radio livestream and challenges one's relationship with modern robotics and AI.

The Whale Lives On by Xiu Xiu
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest and graduating with a Bachelor’s in Art, Xiu Xiu has evolved to primarily focus on sculptural forms that mimic nature through the element of light. She is a Chinese American artist inspired by the spiritual nature embedded within the philosophies of her culture. Based in Seattle, Xiu Xiu specializes in unique lighting experiences for home and business spaces.
About the art: "I made this piece over two years ago, a 7ft sculpture built from wire, paper, and light. It was about the innocence of nature, unaware of human impact. I honestly thought I might throw it away, but now it’s getting a second life. Hung above a drawing robot, where art, nature, and tech meet."

Athr, Popup workshop instructor
Athr is a visionary artist and polymath exploring the future of storytelling through technology. Find her under @athr_art on Instagram & Tiktok.
