This week in Office Hours we will be talking about everyone's favorite topic: Networking! (pardon my sarcasm). We know its one of the more difficult aspects of job hunting and that's why we are going to tackle it in over the next 2 months in our Office Hours Segment: Non-cringey Networking.
This is a topic I care so much about because I have been a job seeker, an ecopreneur, and interviewed >120 sustainability professionals over the past ten years. I've seen how the mentality you have around networking can completely change your career trajectory. You just have to find what feels good for you!
For these sessions, we've broken down the common challenges we hear from sustainability professionals, job seekers, and ecopreneurs. We will carry out interactive activities to explore ways to overcome these blocks and make networking feel more enjoyable. In tomorrow's session we will review networking tips and tricks from our creative community and learn from each other whats working well and whats not.
