AW#29 Company Visit: Circle Taiwan

​Hello AW#29 Founders,

​We’ll be visiting Circle’s Taiwan Office on the 12th. Circle previously acquired a Taiwanese company, Cybavo, and integrated it into the Circle team in Taiwan. During the visit, the Circle team will give a brief introduction to their latest products and progress. Paul Fan, the founder of Cybavo, will share his founder journey and also participate in the Q&A session with all of you.

​Circle is known for stablecoin USDC. Circle is a fully remote company, with only two office locations worldwide, in Taipei and Singapore. In 2022, Circle acquired the Taiwanese startup CYBAVO, which led to the establishment of its Taipei office. CIrcle Taipei has around 60 employees, most of whom are engineers responsible for product development.

​Speakers

​Paul Fan is a cybersecurity entrepreneur with 20+ years in the industry. With an MS in Computer Science from NYCU. Founded blockchain wallet security company CYBAVO in 2018 and it has been acquired by Circle in 2022. Now he serves as VP of Engineering and General Manager of Taiwan at Circle.

​Ian Lin is a Product leader in the Web3 and AI industry with 17+ years of experience. Currently serving as Product Director at Circle, product lead for Programmable Wallets. Formerly worked at Kraken, Meta on Instagram growth, Facebook search, and Microsoft Bing.
