​Joey Hua is a design collaborator and storytelling enthusiast based in Canada. Her design practice has touched non profit, government and fin-tech spaces. Joey’s educational background in Sociology and combined past experiences in sales & consulting heavily influences their way of working as a designer. Currently, Joey is a UX designer at Manulife Financial where she works with designers and non-designers alike to build better customer experiences. As a Design Mentor at ADPList, Joey focuses on helping new and junior designers through reviews, Q&As and supportive guidance.

​Nicolas Backal is a Product Designer from Mexico City living and working in San Francisco with a background in Architecture. As a team lead, he has experience designing, developing and launching great products in both startups and big tech companies. He believes that building the business case for design, acting as a multiplier, and constant team collaboration leads to successful outcomes.

By night, she is the Founder & Design Lead of the Design Buddies community. Outside of design and community building, Grace creates content for social media and her blog to help students, designers, and community builders with a total following of 40K+. In the past, she designed and developed virtual reality games to train surgeons and to make education fun. She also studied bioengineering and computer science engineering in college before making her way into design.
