About the speakers
Eric Woo is co-founder and CEO of Revere, where he leads product development and investment analysis & due diligence efforts.
Prior to starting Revere, he was Head of Institutional Capital at AngelList, the world's largest online venture capital investment platform that supports over $10B in assets and has participated in the financing of over 190 "unicorn" companies. At AngelList, Eric worked closely with investors to curate early-stage fund and deal opportunities. He also developed systematic and data-driven strategies for institutional investors.
Over the last 12 years, Eric has helped allocate over $160 million in venture funds and direct co-investments. Notably, he played a key role in establishing the emerging manager investment programs at Top Tier Capital and Northgate Capital, organizations that collectively have more than $15B in AUM. Eric is an acknowledged thought leader in the VC emerging managers ecosystem.
Before his venture career, Eric worked in pricing and risk management for a large insurance company and financial guarantor. He also has experience in online marketing and private market research. A Bay Area native, Eric graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and has been a CFA charter holder since 2004.
Eric Rosenblum has been a leader in technology and strategy for over 25 years, and is currently a Managing Partner with Foothill Ventures, a $250M AUM seed fund investing in early stage technology-focused ventures in North America. In this role, he has led investments in high growth software companies such as OpenPrise and DeepScribe, and deep tech companies such as AM Batteries, Ascend Elements, Coreshell, Unigrid, Hyperlight and Quintessent.
Prior to Foothill Ventures, Eric was a senior product executive at both Google and Palantir, and was COO of Drawbridge (sold to LinkedIn) and CEO of SmartPay (sold to Ping’an Group). He began his career as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group. He has an AB from Harvard University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Hal Morimoto has been involved with organizing institutional LP conferences in Japan since 2001. He has invited numerous speakers such as fund GPs and asset managers from the US, Europe, and ROW to Astoria Investor Forum (AIF) where over 150 LPs attend the event and learn from the speakers on industry's best practices in private equity, venture capital and infrastructure assets. Since 2016, Hal has been involved with BornGlobal, similar in format and content but different audience from CVCs and corporate venturing professionals. BornGlobal is pleased to co-host the workshop with Revere, a premier provider of performance benchmarking information on Emerging VCs this March.

講演者について
Eric Wooは、Revereの共同創業者兼CEOとして、製品開発と投資分析・デューデリジェンス業務を社内でリード。Revereの創業前は、世界最大級のオンラインVC投資プラットフォームであるAngelListの機関資本部門の責任者として、10億ドル以上のアセットをサポート。190以上の「ユニコーン」企業の資金調達に参画。EricはAngelListにおいて、機関投資家と密接に連携して、アーリーステージ投資ファンドの選定から投資機会早出までをサポート。また、機関投資家向けに、データに基づいた体系的投資戦略の構築手法を開発。
過去12年間、2億6,000万ドル以上のVCファンド投資および直接投資の投資アローケーションを支援。特にTop Tier CapitalとNorthgate Capitalにおいては新興VCマネージャー投資プログラムの立ち上げに重要な役割を果たす。これらの組織では合計で150億ドル以上の資産を運用するなど、Ericは新興VCのエコシステムの中では広く認められてきた業界のリーダーです。VC周辺のキャリアに関わる前は、大手保険会社や金融保証会社で評価価格算定とリスク管理業務に従事。また、オンラインマーケティングとプライベートマーケットリサーチの経験も有する。ベイエリアの出身で、カリフォルニア大学バークレー校機械工学の学士号を得た後、CFA資格を2004年に取得。
