Womxn Hack - A diversity focused hackathon

βThis hackathon is co-hosted by H.E.R DAO and The Phoenix Guild from Nov 5-9th, just ahead of DevCon 2024. The aim of the hackathon is to nurture diverse talent in web3 and give them an opportunity to build cool things under the mentorship and guidance of diverse role models in web3.
The hackathon would have a hybrid format, allowing folks across the globe to participate in the event.

Nov 5, 2024: Hackathon kickoff
βNov 5 -9, 2024: Hacking
βNov 9, 2024: IRL event in Bangkok, Thailand where the top 10 teams can present followed by top 3 finalists demo-ing their projects at H.E.R CON on the 10th of Nov, 2024.

Q. I am a beginner in web3. Can I apply for the hackathon?
A. If you are a beginner, we suggest you to go through the basics and be familiar with web3 and basics of Ethereum. This foundation will help you hack better at the hackathon.
βQ. I don't have a team yet. Can I find the team after applying?
A. Yes, you can. You can join our Discord server to look for teammates. Here is the link: https://discord.gg/ktc6tX2e
Q. I am a male and I want to participate in the hack. Can I?
A. Yes, you can but the criteria is that you would need to have 3 or more womxn in your team.
βQ. Will there be any learning sessions or mentorship between now and the beginning of the hackathon?
A. Yes, there will be a few online learning sessions on the tech stack of our sponsor partners and there will be mentors (both virtual and IRL) to assist you with your project.
βQ. Are there any travel scholarships to travel to the hackathon in Bangkok?
A. No, there are no travel scholarship explicitly for hackers unless you join the H.E.R DAO's ongoing program for Road to DevCon. You can find more details about it on the X.
βQ. Can I hack remotely completely?
A. Yes, it is possible to be completely remote and still be eligible for bounties and final prizes.
