Reborn Premiere
The Event:
A special screening night in Montreal for the premiere of my first short film, Reborn. It’s going to be an evening that brings together independent film, music, and community vibes.
Before my film plays, we’ll be showing short films by other local filmmakers to kick things off. There’ll also be DJ sets throughout the night, the goal is to create an inspiring space where creatives can hang out, enjoy some art, and vibe.
The Host:
I'm Pat. A self-taught filmmaker, taking a step into the world of cinema with my first short film. Basically, I love telling stories. I’m passionate about sharing my honest experiences in a way that makes people feel something. The thrill of adventure, the realities of growing up, the ups and downs of chasing your dreams.
I strive to inspire people to pursue what excites them and pour their heart into their craft. This event is one step in that direction.
The Intention:
Being a creative that promotes his art solely online, I felt something was missing in the way people interact with my work. As artists, we all seek some form of connection to others, by putting our thoughts and feelings into our work we want to feel understood and make others feel like they aren’t alone. In these last 3 years of making videos, I haven’t had many face to face interactions with people, I haven’t been able to see how they react to what I make in real time. I created this event to connect with people in a more meaningful way, rather than just a comment online or a like, I want to be able to talk to other creatives. It’s an event for people to come chill, enjoy music and have a good time, even if it isn’t just to see my work. I want to build a real presence, have others see the impact of art, how it gathers people.
