Tony Medeiros (VP, Development at Dream Asset Management) leads the development of large-scale mixed-use projects and has working experience in Canada, United States, and Asia. Dream is a group of four publicly traded companies managing over $9B with assets in Canada and Europe. Tony enjoys tackling complex city building projects and collaborating with community stakeholders to deliver sustainable and inspiring elements of our cities.
At Dream, Tony is part of a team responsible for a development portfolio of over 10+ million square which includes 6,000+ residential units, office, and retail. His portfolio includes the West Don Lands Affordable Housing Lands Program, which is delivering 2,200 rental units (30% affordable) through a public-private partnership with the Province of Ontario. Dream owns such Toronto landmarks as the historic Distillery District and is currently co-developing the 2017–2018 ULI Global Awards for Excellence winning West Don Lands community and developing Zibi, a mixed-use 4 million square foot development in Ottawa/ Gatineau.
Prior to joining Dream, Tony worked for Waterfront Toronto, a publicly funded development corporation mandated with unlocking the potential for 2,000 acres of waterfront land through public-private partnerships.
Tony holds a Master in Urban Planning with Distinction from Harvard University (2005) and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto (2000). Tony is currently on the ULI Toronto District Council Board of Directors.
