About Event

Join us for a collective imagination as we transition into a slower season, reflect on the year gone by, and look ahead to what's next.

“If you don’t allow yourself to imagine a future where everything that could possibly have been done you exclude it as a possibility. We need to imagine it and then walk around it, smell it, feel it, and get a sense of it.” — Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition Network and environmental activist

After the launch of our booklet "Reimagining The Nature of Work", we’re excited to host a first virtual conversation around some of the themes we've been exploring.

In this communal session, we’re exploring how we as humans can create support systems and make more space for different seasons and rhythms of life.

Part 1: Slowing down, looking back and introspect
Part 2: Imagine, look ahead and plan

How can a support network create space and opportunity for rest and regeneration?

How can we create models of work where life and rest are considered to be essential parts?

How can we be more intentional about rest?

We also make space to honor and reflect on the year gone by and look forward to what is to come.

---

For this gathering, we will be joined by a group of contributors who will share their approaches to rest and restful practices, with the hope of creating a collective space for reflection, conversation, and connection.

In this one-hour community session, we invite curious and creative minds from all backgrounds and levels of experience to join us in exploring the role of rest in creating a more nourishing and sustainable culture of work.

We can craft a vision and plan for how we might create a way of working and living that makes space for rest and connection.

Who can join this exploration?

To design for the wide open space of the future, we need many diverse perspectives. You could for instance be a designer, researcher, health and well-being practitioner, systems engineer, urban planner, architect, activist, psychologist, coach, or communications professional.
