​With its large consumer base, high purchasing power, geographic proximity, and cultural similarities, Japan has long been one of the top choices for Taiwanese startups expanding overseas. However, many teams often encounter barriers in language, regulations, and business culture when entering the Japanese market.

​To help Taiwanese startups better understand the local environment, navigate practical entry processes, and start building connections, Startup Island TAIWAN is hosting this sharing and networking session. The event will feature Taiwanese startups that have already expanded to Japan, sharing real-life insights and lessons learned through direct experience.

​Startup Island TAIWAN will kick off the event by introducing the resources available through the Tokyo Hub. We’ll then invite expert speakers to provide an overview of the Japanese market and walk through the essentials of market entry—including legal, financial, and business setup considerations. Most importantly, participants will hear firsthand from Taiwanese founders who’ve successfully entered the Japanese market. The evening will conclude with an open networking session for all attendees to connect and exchange ideas.
