How have people thought about God in various times and places?
Welcome to The Work of Theology! Named (with a little tongue in cheek) since all the authors we’ll pull from are wrestling with God in their own way.
We’ll dig into older sources that are foundational to our modern understanding of theology (building on how it relates to work and the rest of life). Excerpts might range from Plato to early Christian authors to Dostoevsky, to explore how people have thought about God in various times and places. It’s summer so we’ll avoid getting too intense with the readings!
We’ll start on July 1 and run through Sep 2. This is a discussion format; readings are related but each week will stand alone, so there’s no need to do every reading to participate!
