Our all star panel:

🧬 Associate Professor Jodie Ingles | Head of Clinical Genomics Laboratory; Program Director, Genomics and Inherited Disease @ Garvan Institute of Medical Research

Jodie is a cardiac genetic counsellor in the Department of Cardiology, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with more than 20 years' experience working with families with inherited heart diseases. She is a Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellow, receiving the Shirley E. Freeman award for innovation in 2022. In 2018 she received an NHMRC Excellence Award for the top-ranked Career Development Fellowship application. Her team is focused on finding ways to use cardiac genomics and genetic counselling to improve diagnosis, management and care for families with inherited cardiovascular diseases.

🧬 Emily Casey | Principal @ Side Stage Ventures & Founder of What The Health

Formerly a med school drop-out, Emily Casey is the Principal at Side Stage Ventures and the founder of HealthTech media company & community ‘What the Health’. She specializes in community building and aiding the growth of Healthtech companies through strategic brand development, partnerships, and effective communications. As a startup connector and Venture Capital Investor, she is dedicated to supporting and advancing innovation in the Health and broader technology sector

🧬 Alex Gough | CEO & Co-Founder @ Sequins

Founder, investor and board member of genomics and life science startups - Alex is the CEO & Co- founder of Sequins, a synthetic DNA & RNA control startup spun out from the Garvan Institute. He was previously a board member and lead Series B investor at Inivata, until sale to Neogenomics. The Lead investor & founding board member at Nuclera(DNA synthesis). As well as a founding Partner of UK life science investor RT Partners (acquired by Future Planet Capital)
