Careers in Venture Capital with Akshay Bajaj

​Akshay is a VC investor with SIG focused on South & Southeast Asian early-stage opportunities. During his tenure with SIG Akshay has focused on fintech, content, marketplace and SaaS verticals across the region.

​Prior to joining SIG, Akshay began his career in Manulife’s asset management division, rotated through several departments before residing in the APAC strategy team. Akshay worked on and led several M&As, restructurings, new market entries and digital transformation initiatives across Asia Pacific. He is also an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community and was recognized by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 venture capital list in 2019. Akshay also runs an NGO providing educational opportunities to asylum seekers and refugees in Hong Kong, Learning Together.
