EU Venture Capital Outlook
Amidst rising geopolitical and economic tensions at international level and a EUR 800 billion investment gap highlighted by the Draghi report, it has never been more urgent for Europe to find the means to finance its strategic autonomy. These historic challenges require the massive and coordinated mobilisation of private and public capital and innovation will have to be among the top spending categories if we want not only to regain competitiveness but also stand tall in global markets. This event, hosted at the European Parliament, will provide an updated analysis of private investment into innovation and foster a direct dialogue between policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs on the future of the EU budget. The goal is to highlight challenges and opportunities to strengthen the EU’s strategic autonomy and competitiveness as a global innovation hub.
