Every day a new AI tool claims to have transformed the outbound game.

Jen Allen-Knuth and John Barrows are skeptical. They've worked the sales floor, managed sales teams, and helped dozens of enterprise leaders drive real business impact — they've seen their share of BS fads come and go

And regardless of the tool, Demand-Jen and JB both know the importance of effective, client-obsessed reps

Clay — the latest of these supposedly "magical" tools — is being put to the test.

We are selecting 12 of Clay's most staunch advocates ("Clay Experts") to compete live to solve real-life business challenges, from pipe gen to qualification, in an effort to convince our judges that Clay is the real deal. (See Selection Process at the bottom).

Our judge panel, with over half a century of combined sales experience, will call it like it is. Which workflows can move the needle? Which are duds that did little more than inflate your SaaS budget?

Throughout this session, the judges will discuss:

  1. What is the real business utility of Clay?

  2. What's the implication on the future of outbound?

  3. And the ultimate question — Is Clay all AI hype? Or can it really change the outbound game as we know it?

Jen Allen-Knuth is the founder of DemandJen, and former Chief Evangelist Officer for The Challenger Sale company. Prior to that, she spent 18 years as an individual contributor, selling $50M+ in professional services as a new logo hunter and account manager. Jen has spoken at Sales kickoffs for organizations like GE, Juniper Networks, Honeywell, G2, Square, and LinkedIn.


John Barrows is a LinkedIn Top Voice in Sales, Salesforce's Game-Changing Sales Influencer, Forbes' Top 30 Social Salespeople.

His experiences range from making 400 dials a week, to leading a self funded team through acquisition, starting his own business and now working with some of the fastest growing and most dynamic companies in the world like Salesforce, Linkedin, Google, Amazon and many others.


Eric Nowoslawski is The Original Clay Expert™️ and currently averages 5M enrichments per week (top user on Clay by far). He first found Clay while running his agency, Growth Engine X and loved it so much he joined the Clay team for a year. While on the team, he build many of the initial tutorials and documentation to show people how to use Clay. Today, Growth Engine X builds Clay tables to run outbound campaigns for 50 customers including Intercom, Pilot and of course, Clay.

📣 Selection Process & Timeline

Step 1: Register for this event. As part of the registration questions, you can submit a 3-min loom video of your best table. Best = most business impact delivered for you or your client. Be sure to describe the business objectives before diving into your table and don't go over 3 minutes.


Aug 22nd
12 top submissions will be selected and posted for audience voting.


Aug 28th (24 hours before the showdown)
3 finalists will be notified to demo their tables live.


Aug 29th
Judges crown the table that creates the most business utility as winner. Voting ends and Audience Choice is announced.
