About Event

Join us for an engaging lecture on the Trends in International Trade Laws, Economics and Policies.

The lecture will be presented by Professors Brian Peck of USC Gould School of Law and Professor Terrie Walmsley of the Department of Economics at USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.

Professors Walmsley and Peck will provide an overview of the prevailing legal, economic and policy trends for international trade occurring at both the multilateral level and in key markets. 

About the speakers:

Brian Peck
Executive Director of the Center for Transnational Law and Business and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law, USC Gould School of Law

Brian Peck brings extensive expertise in international trade, intellectual property, and policy analysis. He has held pivotal roles in the U.S. Trade Representative's office and the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development. He was the lead negotiator for the intellectual property chapters in several Free Trade Agreements, including the U.S.-Colombia, U.S.-Peru and U.S.-Panama FTAs. His work focuses on helping international businesses navigate complex global trade policies.

Terrie Walmsley
Professor of Practice of Economics, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Terrie Walmsley specializes in economic modeling and global trade policy analysis. She has contributed significantly to international economic research and has led a number of research projects for the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, US International Trade Commission, European Commission, OECD, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, UN Economic Commission for Africa, Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Department for International Development (UK) amongst others.
