Beyond Voting: What Now, What Next
Regardless of who wins — the work continues.
On election night, we bore witness.
Now, we pick up the pieces and decide how we move.
Because the truth is (and we’re paraphrasing Black and Indigenous peoples everywhere) none of these politicians and parties are going to save us — we save us.
Some might harm us faster than others, but all of them still require pressure, resistance, and accountability.
That’s where we come in.
Join us the week after the election for “Beyond Voting” — a space to metabolize what just happened, reconnect to each other, and recommit to the long game.
This isn’t a panel or a victory lap.
It’s not an obituary or a debrief.
It’s a living, breathing checkpoint in our shared political lives.
Here’s what we’re holding:
No matter the outcome, the system remains. And systems don’t change on their own.
Democracy isn’t a state, it’s an act. One that demands participation, creativity, pressure, and care — especiallybetween elections.
Each generation must do its part. And we’re not passing the buck.
We’ll offer:
A grounding space to hold what you’re feeling — rage, grief, hope, fatigue, all of it
Real talk about what comes next, and how to stay in the work without burning out
Small group conversation to find your place in the movement — not just the moment
A refusal to disengage, even when the results try to convince you that nothing will ever change
This event is the third in a sequence — but it’s also a beginning.
Because we’re still here. And we’re not done.
