About Event

Welcome to our Seattle WAC event for May, brought to you by the Greater Seattle Committee, to connect about climate outside of Seattle!

What to expect:

This is a two part event.

First, come join us at Campfire Coffee, an organization committed to honoring traditional methods of roasting coffee: over a campfire! In addition to making delicious fire-roasted coffee, Campfire Coffee’s mission is to get diverse people from all walks of life inspired and excited to get outdoors and enjoy life, disconnected! After all, life is better with a campfire 🔥

Love what they’re doing? Or just under caffeinated? Purchase a morning beverage or snack at Campfire Coffee.

Afterward, we’ll walk to the WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory to tour the Victorian greenhouse with over 500+ plant species! The conservatory is open all year round, free of charge!

Timeline:

  • 10:00am: Meet at Campfire Coffee

  • 10:45am: Walk to WW Seymour Botanical Conservatory (this is about a 1 mile or 25min city walk at a steady incline — or you can drive!)

  • 11:15am: Self-guided tour of the Botanical Conservatory

If you are looking for an opportunity to talk about climate with professionals identifying as women or non-binary, you are in the right place! No climate experience necessary.

Who’s invited:

This event is for those identifying as women or nonbinary. We occasionally have events for other friends and allies so if that is not how you identify, stay tuned for future events.
