Koii x Ocean Protocol Hackathon

​XIntroduction

​Ocean Protocol has built a new product called Predictoor (https://www.predictoor.ai), where people can run AI-powered prediction bots or trading bots on crypto price feeds to earn $. Its current focus is predicting up vs. down, 5 minutes ahead, for the top-ten crypto tokens by market cap, on Binance USDT pairs.  

​Predictoor provides READMEs for people to easily get started in running such bots. The bots are fully open-source in Python, and customizable as desired (https://github.com/oceanprotocol/pdr-backend). 

​Value of Historical Order Book Data

​The prediction bots build models that take inputs from OHLCV candle data to predict whether the price will go up or down in 5 minutes. More data can help reduce prediction error, in turn increasing profitability running a predictoor bot (or trader bot). The predictoor bots are flexible enough to take arbitrary data inputs, with relatively small software modifications. 

​Historical raw order book data is of particular interest. Ocean has run internal experiments on it, and found it to help reduce error in predictions. As a bonus, its information opens up new possible trading strategies. 

​Alas, the data that Ocean used is closed / proprietary. Ocean would like historical raw order book data that is usable by the whole community, that is ideally freely available and minimal friction to use. 

​The Offer

​Ocean will offer a $15,000 USD equivalent prize for any task developer who builds Koii Tasks that aggregate Binance trading data and provide historical order books for the following spot-trading pairs. Awards will be granted in OCEAN tokens to the winners, and KOII will be provided to incentivize task nodes. We also encourage the winners to promote their own tokenized examples and incorporate a new token into the model, which the Koii and Ocean teams are happy to support the launch of.

​How to win

​Review the Koii EZSandbox template library and design and develop a working Koii Task which can be run by Koii nodes to gather the requisite trading pairs from Binance. Data should be stored across the Task Nodes and made available via REST APIs.
