About Event

Halloween is almost here and do you know what we think is scary? The way the U.S. Chamber of Commerce obstructs climate policy! That’s why ClimateVoice and Climate Changemakers are pleased to bring you an Hour of Action to Escape the Chamber!

The Chamber is a powerful trade association with corporate members like Exxon, Shell, ConocoPhillips, and Chevron, as well as pro-climate companies like Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. It has a long history of being anti-climate, spending millions lobbying against climate policy progress. Watch our video of climate icon Bill McKibben explaining the hypocrisy of some member companies.

Pro-climate companies have the opportunity to leave the Chamber and lead the way with strong advocacy for climate policy. And now’s the time — we need to defend the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and pass new climate policies to have a chance at curbing the potentially catastrophic effects of climate change.

We'll spend the Hour getting up to speed on the opportunity, and actually taking action using a powerful playbook from Climate Changemakers.

There's nothing you need to do to prepare. Seriously, nothing. Whether you're a seasoned advocate or brand new to political action, this space is for you. Curious what to expect on an Hour of Action? Read more here.
