​Marco Peereboom , Principal engineer @hemi_xyz, Marco is a principle software and electrical engineer with 30 years of experience. Among his rich contributions to open source, he was the initial author of several key components of Decred, an early Proof-of-Stake/Proof-of-Work hybrid blockchain, as well as one of the initial developers of BTCd, the first full re-implementation of the Bitcoin node software. Outside of crypto, Marco has worked on many projects such as OpenBSD, Bitrig, xombrero, spectrwm, and more. In addition, Marco has extensive enterprise server and storage experience through a decade at Dell. He has co-authored several patents.
