About Event

Join Work on Climate community members as they discuss their transition to climate work and how they overcame ecosystem barriers to get there.

​​​4 Talks, 4 Industries, 4 Functions

​​​Discover diverse pathways to meaningful climate work as four Work on Climate community members from various climate and sustainability sectors divulge their transitions and strategies for overcoming ecosystem barriers.

​​​Each speaker will have 5 minutes to share their success story. This will be followed by a Q&A segment and breakout room sessions, where you can connect directly with speakers and other attendees.

​Catalina Valenzuela
Founder & CEO @ Innovus Consulting Co
Catalina Valenzuela is the CEO of Innovus Consulting, specializing in designing and implementing capacity-building solutions for organizations in the USA and Latin America. With over 20 years of experience in developing training programs for diversity, equity, and inclusion, she is currently leading a gender mainstreaming strategy for two climate action accelerators financed by EIT Climate KIC, which supports up to 50 new ventures annually.

Sheri D. Reid
Sustainability Consultant
Sheri is a sustainability strategist, community advocate, and energy efficiency expert dedicated to expanding access to the green energy and decarbonization transition. She has worked with a diverse range of clients—including commercial and industrial businesses, non-profits, multi-family residences, and other organizations—to design and implement sustainable growth strategies. She has helped clients improve community relationships and secure over $5M in state and utility incentives for energy efficiency projects.


Sobia Rehan
BIM Architect @ Ecoxax
Sobia Rehan is an architect with three years of experience, holding a master’s degree in building services. She has conducted impactful research on passive daylight technology, focusing on the adoption of solar energy methods. Sobia is passionate about sustainable architecture and integrates innovative technologies into her designs to create environmentally friendly, energy-efficient buildings.

Bodine van Styrum
Co-founder @ Sustainability Spot
Bodine has always been fascinated by the human brain, the motivations behind people's actions, and the natural world. These interests shape her professional life, where she consistently strives for sustainability in her work. At SustainabilitySpot, Bodine leads investigations within organizations to understand what drives or hinders employees from integrating sustainability into their roles. Her goal is to increase employee engagement and foster a culture of sustainability.
