Defence Tech Meetup
Join us for the second closed Defence Tech Meetup, organised with a goal to connect the Latvian Defence Tech ecosystem with other nations and to explore the latest initiatives and discuss current priorities. This is an unofficial event that prioritises networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration, exchange of information and necessary changes within the defence sector.

The agenda of the event include:
A fireside chat with Jaanus Tamm, CEO of Estonia's Defsecintel, a leading producer of mobile autonomous and automated surveillance systems with AI-assisted technology. Jaanus is a 15 year veteran of defence tech and will talk about what has changed with the Ukraine invasion and how to think about building the next Defence Tech startups.
Panel discussion moderated by Andris Bērziņš about defence tech investments and funding, with guests including
Eric Slesinger, Partner at defence VC fund 201 Ventures, and founder of the European Defence Investor Network;
Rokas Tamosiunas, Managing Director at defence VC fund Pointman;
Agris Ķipurs, co-founder and CEO of ORIGIN, highly advanced autonomous systems to enhance the capabilities of Europe and our NATO allies.

This rule is designed to foster a greater freedom of discussion. It is our aim to create a safe space for honest and direct conversations.
Defence Tech Meetup is an invitation-only event, and will gather representatives of the government and armed forces, researchers, defence sector companies, association, investors and technology developers looking for a platform to discuss current challenges, ideas and collaboration opportunities in the sector.
