About Event

In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, I’ll guide you step by step through setting up a strong foundation for a design system using Figma.

Facilitator: Maxime Rabot contributed and led Design System initiatives at Zeiss, Deutsche Welle and developed UI solutions for products at companies like Berliner Zeitung, Quandoo, and several europe based start-ups.

In 2025, he founded House of Maestro, a space for creativity—a playground for new ideas—and to bring exceptional design to life, both online and offline.

Based on Core - the Design System Starter Kit (designsystemcore.com), you’ll learn how to define your branding assets—such as logos, typefaces, colors, and spacing—using the power of variables and proven design system best practices.

We also ensure your design is accessible and create internal documentation so that anyone on your team can confidently use or contribute to the system.

Who should attend:

  • Designers new to design systems who want to learn the fundamentals

  • Experienced designers looking to deepen their knowledge of scalable design systems

  • Anyone working with or managing design systems who wants to stay up to date with the latest best practices

What to expect:

  • A step-by-step walkthrough on building a scalable design system from scratch

  • Practical use of Figma’s latest features and modern design system methodologies

  • Guidance on accessibility and team documentation for long-term success

About our community:

Employed.world

We support UX community in Berlin/Germany by connecting them with emphatic mentors, job coaches and professionals working currently or in the past worked for companies in Berlin and contributed to the hiring process, by also connecting you with current hiring managers so you can get the opportunity to seek guidance and feedback based on the challenges that you are personally facing. We spoke with job seekers and found out that many are lacking transparent feedback on their profile, job applications, some may need guidance to understand their superpower and so they can stand out from other 100s of applicants or some might feel there are too few job opportunities in the market that they are looking for, then what is the strategy to find or even create roles for you?
