Perfect for those who are passionate about teaching and seek to inspire others to explore aerial arts, this 2-day program equips aspiring instructors with the tools to lead an uplifting, creative and safe aerial basics class. During this training program, participants will develop the skills to structure and teach engaging, accessible aerial classes that introduce students to cirque-style aerial basics.
Get ready to learn:
- Poses: Learn how to accurately perform and demonstrate fundamental cirque-style aerial poses
- Sequencing: From warm-up to cool-down, learn how to structure class with intention and progression
- Cuing: Learn ways to provide direct, concise instruction so students can achieve core poses
- Spotting: What to look for to maintain student safety and avoid injury
- Safety: Essential safety knowledge about aerial silks and rigging equipment
What to bring: Notebook and pen for note-taking. Aerial equipment, mats and training guide will be provided.
What to wear: Silk burns are real so cover all skin that may come in contact with the hammock to minimize friction and potential burns. Remove jewelry and accessories to prevent any interference or injury during practice.
