About Event
Calling all funders! Join us in a workshop to explore the challenges of risk in funding through a somatic lens.
What does ‘risk’ mean in the context of social change? How do social movements and funders balance risk against social impact? We will explore who is holding the risk, why funding proposals get rejected on the basis of being too risky, and how low-risk thresholds push social movements into structures that are disadvantageous for systemic change.
Panel:
Joe Doran, Head of Grants at Walcot Foundation
Stephanie Brobbey, Founder and CEO at Good Ancestor Movement
Suzy Donald, Head of Community Development at Oxford Hub
