Resident computer wizard Antone Andrews will lead us in a hands-on workshop exploring checksums, bootable linux, and network analysis.
What We'll Learn
🔍 File Authentication & Checksums: We’ll verify file and disk image authenticity, explore how checksums protect against tampering, and practice with real-world examples.
🐧 Bootable Linux Creation: You’ll create your own bootable Linux USB drive, learn why security pros use Linux, and boot into Linux to explore a live Linux environment.
📡 Network Analysis with Wireshark: To understand why encryption matters, we’ll explore network packet analysis, and monitor local network traffic in real-time. We’ll have a live demonstration with IoT devices.
