Illinois Mental Health Parity Index Unveiling

​You’re invited to a special Mental Health Awareness Month luncheon hosted by The Kennedy Forum and Third Horizon on Wednesday, May 28, at The Chicago Club, for the unveiling of the Mental Health Parity Index, a first-of-its-kind tool designed to assess how commercial health insurers in Illinois are meeting parity requirements for mental health and substance use coverage. Please join former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy and leaders in the mental health and substance use disorder (MH/SUD) ecosystem as we examine how this tool can inform regulatory, policy, and system-level change in Illinois and beyond.

​At a time when individuals with mental health and substance use disorders are ten times more likely to be denied in-network coverage compared to those without such conditions, this new Index provides essential insights derived from real-world insurance data made accessible through federal Transparency in Coverage rules.
